The renovation of our saunas is finally over and the will be opened today starting at 4.30 PM. Our saunas has been designed to look like a traditional Finnish smoke saunas - for instance there are burnt timber and natural stones on the walls. The morning sauna is always free of charge for our guests and now we offer the evening sauna for 4 € for our customers (normal price 7,50 €/person). Welcome to the Sauna!

Eurohostel will be attending the Matka2011 Fair at the Fair Centre of Helsinki from the 20th to the 23rd of January together with Hostelling International Finland. Both of our saunas will be renovated completely before the summer season. The design is made by architect Leena Carelse who is a well-known designer from Finnish tv-show Kodin kääntöpiiri. Renovation will start in April and will last for two months.

Restaurant Katajanmarja (Juniper berry in English) has got a data projector with 100 inch screen this summer and you may watch for instance sport events there when ever the restaurant is open. As a hot summer day like this it is good to know they have over 40 Finnish beer brands too!

Our bathroom renovation that started over a year ago is finally over! All of our bathrooms and toilets in the accommodation floors has been renovated from the floor to the ceiling. For instance the lights, hand dryers and water taps in the bathrooms are operated by movement sensors. We have now 6 more showers than before the renovation and you may also enjoy the bird singing while visiting the bathroom...

We started to use today our brand new online booking system called NetHotel. There has not been any major changes in customers point of view and therefore the reservations are still easy to make any time via internet - and also with cheaper rates than our normal rates! The room renovation in the 6th floor was ready a couple of weeks ago. The Eurohostel category rooms in the 6th floor are equipped with 32" LCD tv-screens with a possibility to use internet. Now our hostel is also completely smoke-free.
Half of the bathrooms are renovated now. Unfortunately the renovation schedule has been delayed and according to the latest schedule the last bathroom will be ready in July 2009.

The leading Finnish distributor of radio and television services Digita Ltd is updating some television channels on the beginning of February. Due this updating two television channels (YLE Teema and Urheilukanava) does not work for a few days.

We are renovating our bathrooms between the 29th of September 2008 and 24th of April 2009. The rooms on the 6th floor are also being renovated from the 17th of November until the 6th of March. Our hostel will also become completely non smoking after the renovation on the 6th floor has started.
We apologize for any possible inconvenience caused by the renovations.
